Kagetsu Tohya One year after the events of Tsukihime, Shiki Tohno is a victim of an accident. After this accident, Shiki awakens into a strange dream wherein he repeats the same day over and over. There is also a manga adaptation (released in English as 'Lunar Legend Tsukihime'), an anime adaptation (Shingetsutan Tsukihime), a pseudo-sequel game of short stories (Kagetsu Tohya), and a series of fighting games (Melty Blood) that takes some liberties with the paths from the original game.
Welcome to the Type-Moon discussion board! Here are some questions people have asked and will probably ask again.
If you checked this before asking, then your one up on a lot of people. Q:Can I talk about spoilers?
A:If you want to talk about a particular event in a game/anime/whatever and it gives an important part of the story away. Please enclose it in spoiler tags, so as not to ruin it for someone who hasn't experienced it yet. (spoiler)The spoiler goes here(/spoiler) Replace the ( ) with to get it to work. Afterwards it should look like this. I've been spoiled! For more on the things you can do with BBCodes on MAL, click the small BBCode link after clicking on the Quick Reply button in the forums or visit: Q:What does UBW, HF, or Fate/Saber route stand for?
A:Those are the names of the three arcs in the Fate/stay night game. Each arc branches off from the starting story, with a focus on one of the girls. UBWs stands for Unlimited Blade Works. In UBW Shirou explores his feelings for Rin. HF means Heaven's Feel and features Sakura. The Fate or sometimes called the Saber route to avoid confusion focuses on guess who? The interesting part is how the story changes with each arc.
Things left unanswered or hinted at in one arc are answered in another. So by playing all three arcs you get a more complete picture of most of the characters in the game. The anime focused on Saber's route, but incorporated elements from all three arcs. If you really want to spoil the story for yourself then read the summaries of the scenarios below: For a more detailed summary try Byakko's write ups of and instead. But we'd recommend against doing it if you ever plan to play the game.

Q:I'm lost in FSN, how do I get through such and such's route? A:Well if you only want a hint, then you can ask in comments, and maybe some nice member will give you a nudge in the right direction. Remember to emphasis you only want a hint. R:Screw that I want it all, I don't feel like asking every time I get stuck.
A:Then try this link: it contains mirror moon's flowcharts in pdf format for every step of the Fate and UBW routes. Q:Where can I get the English patch for FSN, Tsukhime+Plus, Kagetsu Tohya, Melty Blood and ReACT? A:Well if you read our club's large information section, you might have noticed that the first link in the 3rd section is for, where we said ' Your one stop shop for fan translations of most Type-Moon projects.' To get the current patch for any game mm (mirrormoon) has released, simply goto mm's site, click on the link to the game you want on the right hand side navigation bar, then check the top of its page. Here are direct links to mm's pages for each TM project: (remember to also get the regular patch before applying the English patch.) Check this thread for the latest English patch.
Q:Is someone translating Fate/hollow ataraxia? A:Some guys at Beast's Lair are working on it. They announce the project in. Q:Can I link or talk about copyright infringing content on here?
A:While you can talk about things that violate copyright you must never post direct links to US copyright infringing material, especially torrents in comments or the forums. If you do, they will be deleted as soon as they are seen by a mod.
If you must help someone out in that way, try using PMs. We don't care if you use warez, but we don't really feel the need to hear you brag about it either. In keeping with MAL's rules, if you'd like to share the latest TM related manga chapter in the comments section, please post a link to the original post and not a direct file sharing link. Please consider supporting Type-Moon by buying through a reputable dealer and not an auction. For a more general and complete overview of posting guidelines please refer to this.
Q:How can I get the Melty Blood manga? A:Check the Beast's Lair forums, under Walkthroughs & Translations, look for a thread that's called Melty Blood Translations. R:I checked that thread, it only lists raws. A:Scroll down part way, look for where it says translated. Q:How can I get FSN & Tsukihime manga? A:Both of which have now been liscensed in the US. Fate/stay night by and Tsukihime by Buy them from a reputable dealer online, or you're on your own scouring the net for them.
(We realize that they might not be available in your country, but we can not post links for them on MAL, which resides in the US. Try asking your MAL friends in private.) Q:Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya or TakeMoon manga?
Search for the title, then on the title's page under Latest Release(s) click Search for all releases of this series. Try clicking on DL, here's a tip if a release doesn't have a DL try clicking on the release group's name. You might have to learn how to use IRC to get the release though. If you want to be one of the first to read it you'll have to hang out at on Koichan constantly. Q:Where can I read Fate/zero or Kara no Kyoukai?
A:You can find both translations for and available at Baka-Tsuki. The link to that site can also be found under Other in our link section. Both of these are works in progress. If you prefer mm has also translated the first part of Kara no Kyoukai, however it is only part of the story and not being continued. Q:Where can I get bigger versions of the pictures in the gallery? Or what happened to that pic you deleted? A:In the future we may upload the photos to an off site gallery located here: Fisher made the account for us.
But so far there is not a lot there; some fan art, pictures from the TM April fools joke 2008, and variations of a user bar I made. We will also post user bars that members make here: Feel free to use them if you like or if you get the creative urge, please make your own and give us a link, then we'll upload them. Also if you request a picture, we will try to post it there. Q:I'd like to upload a picture to share with the other club members, but the MAL gallery is always full. What can I do? A:We've added a group album to our club Photobucket account, located at the below link: Unfortunately you have to be a free photobucket member to upload pics. Maybe in the future we can find an easier solution.
Q:What do some of the names mean in the Type-moon world? A:Here's a list Kyoko on Koichan posted. We can't vouch for the accuracy, if you know better we'll update it.
If you don't know anything about Japanese, the person is translating the kanji (Chinese characters used in Japanese), which can sound the same as other words, but have different meanings. That's why Shiki has four meanings here. 七夜 Nanaya - 'Seven Nights' 遠野 Tohno - 'Far-off Field'. 志貴 Shiki - 'Resolute Honor' or something like that.
Don't hold me to it. 秋葉 Akiha - 'Autumn Leaf'. 四季 SHIKI - 'Four Seasons'. 翡翠 Hisui - 'Jade'.
琥珀 Kohaku - 'Amber' Arcueid Brunestud.I don't even know what the hell language this is. Ciel - French for 'Sky'. Amcsi pointed out (a Japanese band) as a possible source to derive the names Arc, Ciel, and Len. It's French for 'the arc in the sky' or 'the rainbow'.
Sion - savior? 両儀 Ryougi - Had a little trouble with this one, but it means more or less 'Two Sides' or something like that. Someone else can probably say it better. Someone else said in Chinese Ryougi (両儀) can be translated as 'coupled rites'. 式 Shiki (girl) - 'System' or 'Formula'. 織 Shiki (boy) - Uh.
Fuck it, ask someone else. 蒼崎 Aozaki - 'Blue Cape/Mountain point'. 青子 Aoko - 'Azure Child'. 橙子 Toko - '(Bitter) Orange Child' 黒桐 Kokutou - 'Black Paulownia'. It's a type of plant.
幹也 Mikiya - 'Main (Most important) (being)'. 鮮花 Azaka - 'Splendid Flower' 衛宮 Emiya - 'Guardian Shrine' SUBTLE, ISN'T IT?. 士郎 Shirou - 'Valiant Servant'.AGAIN WITH THE SUBTLTIES NASU. 切嗣 Kiritsugu - 'Cut success' Someone else added - The 'tsugu' part is, in the book and according to Arai's summary of it back at Beast's Lair, supposed to mean 'binding' this is exactly the reason he was named like that- because his origin is both 'severing' and 'binding.' 遠坂 Tohsaka - 'Far-off Hill'.I'm seeing a pattern here. 凛 Rin - 'Pride' The previous person also added - 凛 rin/kibishii: cold.
凛々 rinrin: severe/biting. 間桐 Matou - 'Distant Paulownia' NEW FAVOURITE PLANT FOUND. 桜 Sakura - 'Cherry Blossom' Raise your hand if you didn't know this so I can hunt you down and castrate you so you may never breed.

Password: typemoon. I'd like to apologize in advance if I'm doing anything wrong - I did my best to follow the submission guidelines but I'm new here so I still don't feel very confident. At any rate: About Kishima Kouma, I know that he used to live in the Tohno mansion as one of those relatives that were sent away when Akiha became the new family head, because we know that Kouma is the last Kishima and thus, that was mentioned in Tsukihime can be nobody but him.
What I'm wondering about, however, is some details taken from: according to the wiki page, after the massacre of the Nanaya clan, Kouma went to live alone in the mountains until 3 years prior to the events of Tsukihime. It is also written there that 'Kohaku notes that whenever she called Kishima 'young master', he would give her a cold look and leave,' and that after Akiha sent him and the other relatives away, he went back to living in the mountains. This part has no source attributed to it.
My question is, when exactly did Kohaku state that about Kishima? And when was it stated that he lived alone in the mountains? Did it happen and I just forgot?
Or maybe it is listed in one of the sources in the wiki page, and I just miss it for some reason?;-; As a side not, so far I only got to read Tsukihime, Kagetsu Tohya's main story, and the first four of the Ten Nights of Dream ('Red Demon God' being the fourth). After finishing Red Demon God I went into Kouma's wiki page and saw the part in question. First of all, don't trust the Wikia. Most things there are random fanfics from random IP addresses. Kouma's backstory is revealed in Melty Blood and it's manuals. Kishima Kouma: A demon hybrid with Herculean strength. He is a descendent of the oni that once inhabited Japan, but whose numbers fell hand in hand with the expansion of civilization, until they finally went extinct.
With grip strength powerful enough crush enormous trees in his hands, inborn agility, and strange oni powers, he annihilates his enemies without mercy. Truly, he is an oni emblematic of scorching heat and burning flames. Though the Kishima are one of the numerous Tohno branch families, they have long since fallen into decline. As far as Kouma was concerned, it would have been fine if he just quietly faded into obscurity in his forest den, letting the line die out for good. However, he was called out by Tohno Makihisa to be the Tohno's trump card against the Nanaya, a role which he fulfilled perfectly. The Nanaya family was completely wiped out.
For Tohno Shiki, who subconsciously remembers the scenes of devastation from that time, Kouma has become a nigh unsurmountable image of death. Kouma himself, however, is a tranquil character, similar to a mountain ascetic aiming for enlightenment in order to find meaning in his own existence. One of the routes in Melty Blood revelas more about his past. I don't have the script at hand, but it shouldn't be too hard to look for a video on YT, tough.
Yeah, due to the nature of wikis, the first thing I do after reading a piece of information is verifying the source; that's how I got here. And thanks a lot:) I just wanted to make sure that Kouma's information will be revealed in one of Type-Moon's VNs or games (in contrast to Plus Period or another such piece of side information, since it'll probably be a while until I start diving into those). I'm certainly going to play through Melty Blood once I'm finished with Kagetsu Tohya, so I'll be looking forward to it. Thanks again!
